I’m an Irish guy working in the networking field, mostly in Professional Services for large Vendors. I’m Ericsson, Cisco, and Juniper certified.
Main background is in the telecoms area, specifically mobile packet core (SGSN, GGSN, MME, SGW, PGW) and the 3GPP Protocol related areas. Currently getting my feet wet with Software Defined Networking [SDN] and specifically experimenting with Contrail and OpenStack.
Now working more with pure Data Center Switching, so less time spend on MPLS and 3GPP Stacks, and more time on the joys of STP, PV-STP, MSTP, etc.
I run a non-exiting TOR Relay – and you should too.
I’m hoping to post about once per week about things I’ve seen while playing around with networking stuff.
Thanks for taking the time to read this 🙂
